    Fidelity on Campus

    A representative from Fidelity Investments, a vendor of the UW System Tax-sheltered annuity 403(b) program, will be on campus on Monday, October 6 in Cartwright Center.  For more information and to schedule your own one-on-one appointment, please see the Fidelity Investments flyer.

    TIAA-CREF on Campus

    A representative from TIAA-CREF, a vendor of the UW System Tax-sheltered annuity 403(b) program, will be on campus on Tuesday, October 14, Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday October 16 in Room 258 of Cartwright Center. To schedule an individual counseling session with Financial Consultant Paul Fuller, contact TIAA-CREF by calling 1-800-732-8353 or by using this web link.

    Save the Date: Benefits Fair

    Human Resources will be hosting the annual Health and Financial Fair for faculty and staff on Wednesday, October 15 in Cartwright Center.  More information is coming soon!

    Summer Leave Reports

    Academic year (9-month) employees who are working during the summer months are required to complete one leave report for entire summer.  An error caused a summer leave report for the month of June to be placed on the My UW System portal.  If you have a June summer report in your portal, you may ignore it.  All academic year (9-month) employees who are working during the summer should complete the summer leave report.

    Hiring Temporary Office Support Staff

    Temporary office support staff are now hired through a temporary staffing agency under contract with the State of Wisconsin Bureau of Procurement. Supervisors should refer to the classified staff tab on the recruitment webpage for additional information.

    Emergency Contact Information  

    Is your Emergency Contact Information up to date? This information is imperative as we have had the need arise to contact a designee only to find no one is listed.  When medical or other emergencies come up, every minute counts.  Please help us help you out should the need ever arise.  You can update your information on your My UW System portal by clicking the "update my personal information" link or you may complete and return the emergency contact form to the Human Resources office.

    Dental Network for HMO Members  

    The State of Wisconsin Health Plans, with the exception of the Standard Plan and State Maintenance Plan, now have a uniform dental benefit that became effective January 1, 2014. The new benefit is designed to provide coverage both in and out of network but at different levels of coverage.  For preventative and diagnostic services, in network is covered at 100% and out of network provides 75% coverage up to $1000/member/year. 

    Recently, some individuals covered by Health Tradition, received a bill for dental services that they thought would be fully covered.  In order to ensure that your dental services are fully covered, it is important that you see a provider in the Health Tradition Dental Network.  The Gundersen Health Plan does not have a dental provider network at this time.

    Please refer to the left column of the Dental Comparison Chart  for additional information.  Be aware that if you choose to go to a dental provider out of network, Health Tradition will only cover 75% of the cost for preventive and diagnostic dental services.
