  • Do you get frustrated when your patients can't/won't/don't follow through on your expert advice?
  • Do you get frustrated when you use your many years of education and experience to diagnose a patient, develop an amazing plan of care and utilize all of the outstanding clinical skills you have developed over the years only to have patients not follow through at home? Or worse yet, not return to see you?
  • Does outcome based payment scare you a little because YOU know a big part of successful outcomes has to do with patient compliance?
  • Have you ever been amazed that some of the simplest advice (or at least WE think it is simple!) you give is not followed?

If you answered yes to any of these questions...then this course is for you!

There is more information available to our patients than ever before and yet behavior change remains a major obstacle in getting our patients to get better and stay better. Let's face it...our patients often 'know' what they need to do to get well and stay well...but often don't do it! This course will help you take your physical therapy practice from good to great by examining how we convince our patients to do what we need them to do! We will explore the elements of how to increase patient compliance utilizing evidence based methods. We will examine real and perceived barriers, motivation, stages of behavior change and communication methods to increase patient 'buy in' so that they get better and stay better!
