Saudi Woman and Daughter Graduate Together at UW-La Crosse

Saudi Arabian television station MBC recently aired a program about UW-L's graduate Rawan Albenjabi. While MBC assembled the news report about Rawan, they relied on the staff of UW-L's Academic Technology Services to provide video footage of Rawan at UW-L. Some of the footage was acquired by ATS student video assistant Steve Londre when he recorded Rawan's commencement address. Additional footage of Rawan and her mother were recorded by ATS video producer Todd Bunnell. The news report (in Arabic) talks about how Rawan and her mother both earned degrees from UW-L. Rawan graduated with a bachelors degree, and her mother earned a Masters degree. Rawan hoped that by doing well in her classes, people may think more positively about Saudi women.
