Available Audio and Video Conference Services at UW-La Crosse
WisLine – an audio only bridging/conferencing service that allows audio conferences via the standard telephone. This service allows three to 156 participants to dial in from any location that has a telephone. The cost is ten cents per minute per line plus the long distance call to Madison. WisLineWeb – combines the use of a web browser to share visuals (documents, PowerPoint presentations etc.) in real time, with the audio conferencing capabilities of WisLine. WisLineWeb sessions for one or two people can be held anywhere there is access to both a telephone line and a data connection. Group meetings can be arranged in rooms 102 and 104 Wing or in 345 Morris Hall. IP (H.323) Videoconferencing – is real time audio and video conferencing over the Internet. A connection can be established in rooms 102 and 104 Wing or in 345 Morris Hall. We also have two smaller conferencing facilities perfect for meetings. Bridging (MCU) facilities are available supporting up to 24 connection. IP video equipment is available at distant sites such as UW-EC, UW-SP and the Pyle Center in Madison. This can be an affordable alternative to other technologies as there are no line charges.
