What is Individual File Storage?

Individual File Storage allows faculty and staff to have a place to store their university related files which will be accessible from any computer with an internet connection on or off campus. Similar to commercial online storage systems, the UWL Individual File Storage will allow for 15GB of file storage for each faculty and staff member. Documents and other files created with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or other applications can be saved directly to this space. Using Web folders, Network Places or mapped drives this online file space can replace or complement existing methods of file storage such as recordable CD/DVD media, USB “Thumb” drives or commercial web based file storage (such as DropBox). This storage space is also easily accessible as a folder on the desktop of all ITS lab and classroom computers
