Change Your UW-La Crosse Email Name

Your UW-La Crosse email name is based on your official name of record. For students, the official record is maintained at Records and Registration and for personnel at Human Resources. However, your email address is not automatically changed to your new name. This prevents you from having lost email.

To change your name and email address:

• Students: Visit Records & Registration in 117 Graff Main Hall or call (608) 785-8576.
• Personnel: Visit Human Resources in 144 Graff Main Hall or call (608) 785-8013.

When you visit these offices and fill out their forms, you will be asked whether or not you want your email address to also be updated. If you do, they will automatically forward the information to ITS. ITS will contact you as we prepare to change your email address to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any loss of email. You can expect it will take 2 to 3 weeks after filling out the form in the appropriate office before ITS contacts you and your email address is updated.
