Assistance with Student Personal Computers
The Eagle Help Desk can offer limited assistance with student
personally owned computers. Please call us at 785-8774 for more
information.
Before working on a student's computer, the student must sign a liability waiver. We
will do everything we can, but we are not responsible for lost data or
other problems. No warranty of service is provided or
implied.
Services we can provide:
- Installation of campus-recomended anti-virus software
- Un-installation of other anti-virus software
- Virus and spyware removal (We can provide basic efforts, but
extensive problems involving virus and spyware removal may not be
resolved. We do not guarantee we can fix every virus and
spyware issue possible.)
- Troubleshooting of operating system problems, drive conflicts
and similar issues
- System restores on supported Operating Systems (If the student
brings in their operating system disks)
- System Updates on supported Operating Systems (If the student
brings in their operating system disks)
- Basic hardware evaluation
- General review and suggested steps for items not listed above.
We cannot:
- Backup your personal data
- Reformat Hard drives and other media
- Installation of system disks and operating systems
- Install software applications
- Open the computer case and perform or assist with hardware
replacement/repair.
- Registry Edits
- Provide service to computers that are unable to boot into their
operating system normally.
- Provide service to computers using a non US English language
operating system.
- Other items not specifically listed above.

You must be present while we work on your computer.
