The ePortfolio component of D2L allows students and staff to create portfolio presentations. These presentations may be submitted to a D2L dropbox, shared with others on campus, and shared with others outside the university like potential employers. The ePortfolio presentation is linked to each student, however a course could assign an ePortfolio component and have the entire presentation submitted to a dropbox. The dropbox gives faculty a snap shot of the ePortfolio presentation.
MyD2L is a hosted ePortfolio service provided by D2L for students who are graduating and would like to retain and continue to use their ePortfolio after graduation. You can copy your ePortfolio information to myD2L and continue to collect artifacts, create presentations, and share evidence of achievement with others. This service is offered free by D2L, watch for an email when you near graduation about this service.

Adding an Artifact into a presentation? There are three ways to add artifacts and there is a video for each one. You can either 1) add component choosing artifact, 2) use insert stuff to link to the artifact, or 3) use insert stuff to create a link within a reflection or text both, which is done just like the second option but in a paragraph instead of a table. Note: School of Education students must use the second option, using insert stuff to create the link within the standards table. Community Health students should also use the second option for the Areas of Responsibility table.

How to share my ePortfolio with others? Watch this video for instructions. Remember most classes have you submit your ePortfolio to the dropbox, but you can also share your ePortfolio with other students, faculty and staff by sharing. Once you share you can send an email to the person you want to view it.
What is the difference between a Reflection and a Text box? A reflection is actual a text box that can be used by more than one presentation and is created within D2L; and will have a date stamp on the top of the page with the date the reflection was last modified. A text box is a component you can add on any page to allow you to type text, add pictures, and add hyperlinks.
Do not use the "quicklinks", use "insert stuff" instead. Quicklinks are only for external web links and insert stuff is for liniing to any items within your ePortfolio space such as images and artifacts. Watch this video for instructions.
