We are excited that you and your student are a part of the community here at UWL and want to tell you about some ways that you can be involved in their experience on-campus.
As a parent/guardian of a UWL student, you have the opportunity to apply to be a part of the Parent Advisory Board. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Parent Advisory Board is a group of current parents who are committed to investing in UWL and its future by serving in an advisory capacity.
Through your active engagement, you are making a direct impact on your student’s experience at UWL.

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Parent Advisory Board is a group of current parents/guardians who are committed to investing in UWL and its future by supporting programs, philanthropy, encouraging involvement, and providing feedback to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs. Through active engagement, Parent Advisory Board members make a direct impact on the student experience.
Parent Advisory Board Members will:
- Use their experience, the experience of their students, and other parents' experience to choose an area of growth to focus attention on improving.
- Support student and family programming by welcoming and connecting with all UWL Parents through hosting a Family Weekend event. Utilize this event to foster and build relationships.
- PAB members attend this event and mingle with other families, in doing so, learning areas of growth of our institution.
Requirements
- Have at least one student currently enrolled at UWL
- Serve a one year renewable term.
- Share personal expertise/skills
