Reuter Hall is our Upperclassmen Experience Living Learning Community (LLC). Located on the east side of campus, Reuter Hall is a suite style residence hall that includes four private, lockable bedrooms, a kitchen area, a semi-private bathroom, and a living room. Reuter Hall is open throughout the academic year, including academic breaks at no additional expense. Students can choose to sign up to live in Reuter Hall over the summer for an additional cost.
Gender Inclusive Housing: The Office of Residence Life at UW-La Crosse offers Gender Inclusive Housing in Reuter Hall. The purpose of Gender Inclusive Housing is to provide a safe, valued, and comfortable living environment where a student can live with roommates who do not share their own gender identity or expression. Providing a supportive, inclusive living space is critical for developing a healthy place for students to learn, develop, and grow. Upperclassmen Experience Living Learning Community
All students living in Reuter Hall are sophomore or above in completed academic credits (30+) and must be in good standing with the university in order to be selected. The Reuter Hall Upperclassmen Experience Living and Learning Community (UE) is designed to offer an intentional experience to enhance your preparedness as you advance toward graduation. In addition to the social and community development programs offered in Reuter, the Upperclassmen Experience LLC features support and programs from campus partners including the Office of Career Services through their career preparation workshops, the Financial Aid Office through their It Make$ Cents money management education program and from the Student Life Office through their wellness resources and Peer Health Educators. In the UE, you are going to be challenged and supported as you makes steps towards internships, graduate schools, graduation, and gainful employment! The Global Village is designed for domestic and international students to live together; immersing themselves in culture and learning from each other about the world we live in. The Global Village community is a diverse community of students who share common interests ranging from foreign language studies and cross-cultural understanding to the discussion of world affairs. This community provides a cross cultural experience for students interested in broadening their understanding of world issues and cultures. The Global Village increases opportunities for international and domestic students to live and learn together through this common living environment. The Global Village Living and Learning Community in Reuter pairs two domestic students with two international students in the same suite. To enhance and maximize the potential that exists in our Global Village, we have designed an orientation program for our domestic students to be completed prior to leaving for the summer. Domestic students who sign up for the Global Village have priority in Reuter Room Sign-up, and get to arrive early for fall semester when their international roommates arrive, at no additional cost (approximately one week prior to regular move in). Included in each suite: Love seat, full couch, two tables, full size refrigerator, stove with oven, sink,broiler pan, dishwasher, plenty of cabinet space, counter with three stools, bathroom, double sinks, suite controlled heat/AC.
Included in each room: Dresser, desk, bookshelf, and loftable twin, extra-long bed.
Building Amenities: TV lounge area, exercise and game room, group study, computer lab, sand volleyball court, high-speed internet (including Wi-Fi), cable television hookup, laundry facilities, and beverage/snack vending.
