Master Sergeant Scott Heise
Senior Military Instructor
MSG Heise joined the US Army Reserves on December
28th, 1982 and attended Basic and Advanced Individual
Training as a Combat Medic in early 1983. MSG Heise enlisted in the Regular Army as a medical specialist
in March, 1986.
Over the course of his career, MSG Heise has served as a medical
specialist with 1/5 Field Artillery, at Fort Riley and 2nd
Medical Battalion at Camp Casey, Korea; as a Medical NCO with
1-1 Aviation Regiment and as a Flight Medical NCO and Section
NCO with 82nd Medical Detachment (Air Ambulance) –
both at Fort Riley; as the NCOIC of Nursing Service at the
Schweinfurt Health Clinic in Germany; Platoon Sergeant with 54th
Medical Company (Air Ambulance) and 514th Medical
Company (Ground Ambulance), and as Detachment NCOIC for the HHD,
62nd Medical Group – all at Fort Lewis, WA; as an
AC/RC Observer/Controller with 291st Aviation BN at
Fort Riley; Flight platoon Sergeant with 542nd
Medical Company (Air Ambulance) at Camp Page, Korea; as Rear
Detachment NCO, Flight Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant with
82nd Medical Company (Air Ambulance) and Senior
Medical Operations NCO with the Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st
Infantry Division at Fort Riley.
MSG Heise’s military education includes Warrior Leader Course,
Medical Non Commissioned Officer Course, Basic Non Commissioned
Officer Course, Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course, First
Sergeant’s Course, Combat Aviation Survival Instructor Course,
Flight Medical Aidman Course, Battle Staff, Republic of Korea
Ranger Course, the Army Equal Opportunity Course, and the Safety
Non-Commissioned Officer Course.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with oak leaf
cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters,
Air Medal with numeral two, Army Commendation Medal with silver
oak leaf cluster, Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf
clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal (8th award),
