Since I received my commission via UWL ROTC I have seen
many changes in the Army. Everything from the fall of the Berlin Wall to
Desert Storm to the Global War on Terror. Through all of this the American
soldier has continued their commitment to the country through one common
statement.

"I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this
obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and
that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which
I am about to enter. So help me God."

Simple but powerful.

As for myself, I am still living by this oath and have surpassed any
personal or professional goal I may have had.

I have branch transferred twice and am in the process of gaining my third
branch. I initially branched EN, transferred to QM (which has converted to
LG), and am currently waiting to receive confirmation of being awarded
Infantry.

I deployed twice. The first time, 2005 & 2006, I functioned as the 377th
TSC Deputy SPO in the C4 area of Coalition Forces Land Component Command in Camp Arifjan Kuwait. This included responsibility for operational logistics support across the CENTCOM AOR. Quite an experience being involved in Warfighter support in the counter-insurgency fight in OIF, conducting humanitarian operations, via supply drops in Pakistan after the earthquakes, and managing the Theater Mortuary Affairs Point.

The second deployment 2009 & 2010 was just as rewarding. As the
Installations Director of the Joint Area Support Group Central, Baghdad Iraq
I was responsible for facility and infrastructure support to the
International Zone (IZ), consolidation of US forces in the IZ to a smaller
footprint, and the return of buildings and property in the IZ to the
Government of Iraq.

Currently commanding the 32d Infantry Brigade Combat Team. We are in year two of our ARFORGEN cycle and looking forward to our next mission, wherever that may.

In my spare time I am a project manager for Schneider National in Green Bay WI, and live in Seymour WI with my wife Denise and have three daughters, Kalyn, Alexandria, and Kendra.
