Department of Art Scholarships
The Department of Art has scholarships available to continuing (non-graduating) students only. Below is a list of scholarships to which students may apply. Applications are generally due early in the spring semester (mid February) unless otherwise noted. We recommend all students check the full listing of scholarships available from the UW-La Crosse Foundation located in the Cleary Center. Betty and Dale Kendrick Scholarship for Studio Art in Painting
Will be awarded to a continuing (non-graduating) student enrolled full time with a declared Art Major, a focus and painting, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Student must have at least 30 credits earned at UWL (transferred credits don't count).

Catherine Crail-Susan Fransway Art Scholarship
Will be awarded to a junior or senior (current academic year) enrolled full time with a declared Art Major. Scholarship will be awarded for high quality of student's artwork produced at UWL.

Richard G. Beck Art Scholarship
Will be awarded to an outstanding junior Art Major as voted on by Art faculty. NOTE: Recipient must be enrolled full-time when the award is paid, so second year (sophomore) students should apply.
Award amount: $875

Art Faculty Scholarship for Incoming Freshmen
Will be awarded to an incoming freshman with the intention of majoring in Art. Must demonstrate scholarship, leadership, and great potential in art.

James Quillin Memorial Art Scholarship
Will be awarded to a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior (current academic year) enrolled full time with a declared Art Major or Art Minor. Scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates scholarship, leadership and great potential in art.

Lisa Kay Roslansky Art Scholarship
Will be awarded to a female junior or senior (current academic year) enrolled full time with a declared Art Major and a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Financial need will be considered for this award.

Louise Drumm Endowment Fund for Art Scholarships
Will be awarded to a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior (current academic year) enrolled full time with a declared Art Major and an above average GPA. Financial need will be considered for this award.

Edward M. Bardill Memorial Scholarship in Photography
Will be awarded to a female sophomore, junior or senior (2014-2015 academic year) enrolled full time with a declared Photography Minor and a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in photography). Student must have a minimum of 9 credits earned in Photography and be a Wisconsin resident. Financial need will be considered for this award.

Max Winter Memorial Scholarships in Photography
Two scholarships will be awarded to students with a declared Photo Minor or Art Major in good academic standing. Academic achievement, personal qualities and financial need will be considered for this award.

Will be awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior (2015-2016 academic year) enrolled full time at UWL with a declared Photography Minor, a GPA of 3.0 or higher and in good academic standing. Student must have a minimum of 11 credits earned in Photography and be a Wisconsin resident. Financial need will be considered for this award.
