Student organizations
UWL's two student organizations Psych Club and Psi Chi develop, promote and sponsor professional development, service and fun activities for students interested in psychology. The leadership of both organizations is coordinated as are the events. Feel free to email one of the officers to get on the email list and for updates on events and follow our Instagram page UW-La Crosse Psych Student Orgs.

Psychology Club
The Psychology Club is open to any interested undergraduate. It frequently hosts speakers on a variety of topics including career exploration. There is a small yearly fee to be a member.
Psi Chi
Psi Chi (pronounced "sigh - kai") is the International Honor Society for Psychology founded in 1929 for the "purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications." Lifetime membership in Psi Chi requires a one time membership fee and membership in the local chapter is associated with a small one-time fee.
ELIGIBILITY: A student must have completed three semesters of college (we solicit juniors +) have 9 credits in psychology completed at UWL, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00, and in the upper 35% of their class (for UWL the cut off is a 3.33 in Psychology). Graduate students are eligible and can speak to the faculty advisor if interested.
INDUCTIONS: UWL inducts into Psi Chi in the Fall and Spring. However, a ceremony is only held in the Spring. If you are a junior, or senior in psychology and are eligible you will receive an invitation via email to join in October and/or February.
GRADUATION: Psi Chi members can order graduation regalia directly from the Psi Chi website.
