You will need PSY 100 and 15 additional credits in Psychology (9 of those have to be at the 300/400 level).

I'm about to register for classes - what do I need to know?

Every semester, you will receive a number of emails from the university, from your major department, and from your advisors about registration and advising. Please pay careful attention to those emails. Also check out the registration information on our website for lots of helpful information. The information is mainly geared toward Psych majors, but you'll some good information for Psych minors as well.

Remember that the Psych minor is incredibly flexible. You can meet the requirements with just about any of the Psych courses we offer as long as you take at least 9 credits at the 300/400 level.

We hope you chose Psychology as a minor because you found the courses interesting. Studying psychology pairs well with many other fields of study and equips you with lots of skills. These skills are valued by employers in every field and make you a strong candidate for jobs in many industries, not just those related to Psychology.

How do I drop my Psych minor?

To drop your psych minor, access the program/plan form for the college associated with your major.

If your major is in CASSH, use the CASSH program/plan form.

If your major is in CBA, use the CBA form linked here: https://www.uwlax.edu/cba/resources/resources-for-students/forms-and-resources/

If your major is in CSH, use the CSH form linked here: https://www.uwlax.edu/csh/resources-for-students/forms/
