Applied Statistics
Dual degree
Complete your undergraduate and master's degrees in just 5 years!
Completing a dual degree program in Statistics and Applied Statistics is a great opportunity for highly motivated students.
A dual degree program enables students to complete two degrees: a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Statistics, and a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Statistics. Nine credits of coursework will count towards both degrees.
Our dual degree students spend less time in school and pay less tuition, because they are completing in five years what would typically take six years if the degrees were completed separately.
- Undergraduate applicants to UWL may request admission to a dual degree program. Current students may declare a dual degree major any time prior to completing 75 undergraduate credits, or should consult with Graduate Program Director Dr. Melissa Bingham if interested in the dual degree but beyond 75 credits.
- In order to remain in the program students must maintain a 2.75 GPA in all undergraduate major courses and 3.00 GPA in all graduate courses.
- Award of the Bachelor of Science degree will occur upon completion of 120 credits, the statistics major requirements, the CSH college core requirements, and the general university requirements.
- Students must have graduate student status before registering for their third graduate course (normally in the second semester of their senior year).
- Award of the Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics will occur after the completion of the B.S. and the M.S. degree requirements.
