Scholar Day at UW-La Crosse is an invite-only event for academically talented, admitted students. Participants will attend a class with current UWL students, learn about outstanding academic and research opportunities, and enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Student Union with academic deans and faculty.

I am still deciding between universities to attend next fall. Can I still attend Scholar Day?
Yes, we would love to have you on campus. This event might even help you make your decision!
Is Scholar Day a scholarship awarding event?
No. While many of our Scholar Day students have received scholarships, the event does not involve scholarship awards. We named our event "Scholar Day" because we only invite our top academically performing, admitted new students to this special event.
I am unable to attend Scholar Day. Will this negatively impact me in any way?
No. While we would love to have you attend Scholar Day, we understand you may have other obligations. Other than missing a fun and informative event, you will not be negatively impacted by missing this event. Attendance does not impact scholarship eligibility. You are welcome to schedule a visit for a different date.
How can I prepare for the day?
Review directions to campus and the campus map. You may also wish to explore La Crosse tourist and lodging information. After you register for this event, you will receive a confirmation email with campus parking information.
When will you stop accepting registrations?
We may stop accepting registrations at any time prior to the official deadline of January 17, 2025. We can accommodate a specific number of students at this event, so please do not delay your registration if you would like to attend!
