One Day for UWL

On One Day, the entire UW-La Crosse community comes together to make gifts to all areas of campus and celebrate the impact philanthropy has on students. With many ways to participate on campus and online, we hope you’ll join us as we Live Maroon and Give Maroon! 

What: One Day for UWL, our largest philanthropic event of the year 

When: Oct. 15 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

Where: On campus and online; learn more at uwlax.edu/go/givingday 

Join us for on-campus festivities, including: 

Get Glowing for One Day | 7 to 8 p.m., Sept. 25, Student Union Lawn 

  • Students, come join us for yard games, koozie decorating, and learning more about raising funds for your club, org, or team. 

Ring In One Day | 8:45 to 9:15 a.m., Oct. 15, Hoeschler Tower 

  • Kick off One Day with the Screaming Eagles, a guest speaker, and free noise makers! Show you're #UWLProud by wearing maroon and gray. 

Top the Tower Every Hour | 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 15, Hoeschler Tower 

  • This year, the goal for One Day for UWL is to raise $7,689 every hour. This number represents the total number of bricks that comprise the Hoeschler Tower – a place of lore, tradition, and gathering. Let’s come together and beat our goal! Visit the table at the tower to get a live count and some One Day merch! 

Stryker Keep It or Double It | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 15, throughout Campus 

  • Keep your eagle eye open on One Day for UWL! Stryker will be soaring through campus and helping students raise money for their favorite part of campus! 

Class Cab | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 15, throughout Campus 

  • Catch a ride to class with some of your favorite professors, coaches, directors, and more! 

UWLove | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 15, Student Union 

  • What part of campus do you love most?! Come to the union and show your UWLove by casting a vote for your favorite part of campus! The area with the most votes will receive additional funding! 

Lunch on the Lawn | Noon to 1:30 p.m., Oct. 15, Wittich Lawn  

  • Enjoy free walking tacos (while they last) served by the UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation team and learn how our whole campus is impacted by philanthropy of all levels. This lunch is made possible through the generosity of donors. 

Ring Out One Day | 8:45 to 9:15 a.m., Oct. 16, Hoeschler Tower  

  • Come celebrate the end of One Day and enjoy music, guest speakers, cookies, and more!  We’ll even announce the initial amount raised during One Day. We hope you’ll join us!
