UWL Celebrates: Native American Heritage Month

Reginald (Reg) Hawkins, Assistant Director for Retention in UWL's Office of Multicultural Student Services, is rediscovering his Choctaw roots while pursuing his passion for student success and equity. With two BA's in Political Science and Philosophy from Mississippi State University and an MS in College Student Personnel Services and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas, Reg specializes in the Lawton Grant, Peer Tutoring, and multicultural student engagement. Currently working toward a Doctorate in Student Affairs, he will share his experiences in navigating his intersectional identities and fostering student retention.

UWL Celebrates is an annual series of events that honor and highlight the diverse cultures, achievements, and contributions within our campus community. These events provide opportunities for engagement, learning, and celebration through various activities, performances, and presentations.
