Community of Practice: Artificial Intelligence (AI)

CATL is hosting a community of practice for AY 2024-25 to share and compile the various ways instructors are currently using or responding to the opportunities and challenges presented by AI technologies. Ideally, we’d like to determine how to expand on the AI Summit that took place May 17, 2024 to continue the cross-campus conversations about AI. UWL instructors who are working with, and/or against, AI technologies in their classrooms are welcome to join these conversations. This community of practice provides an opportunity to share and reflect on the uses and abuses of AI in the classroom, and we will work towards a goal of disseminating our work to other instructors across the university.

Potential topics include:

  • AI for feedback and assessment
  • AI for course design
  • How students use AI technologies
  • How to talk with students about AI
  • The uses and types of AI
  • The potential abuses of AI
  • AI and Eagle Advantage competencies

Apply today and be added to the calendar invitation.
