Operation River Watch

Dear Campus Community,

I'm excited to introduce a collaborative effort between the UWL Police Department, Viterbo Campus Safety, Western Campus Community Safety, and the La Crosse Police Department aimed at cultivating a safer and more supportive community for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The campuses of UWL, Viterbo, and Western Technical College serve not only as hubs of academic excellence but also as dynamic communities where individuals flourish. Each campus offers distinctive features and strengths that enrich the educational experience for all.

In addition to the unique attributes of each campus, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with the La Crosse Police Department. This collaboration signifies our joint dedication to advancing safety, security, and well-being in our communities. By closely collaborating with local law enforcement, our aim is to bolster emergency preparedness, thwart crime, and foster community policing initiatives across our campuses and neighboring areas. One initiative on our agenda involves educating our communities about emerging crime trends, preventive measures, and safety tips. Consequently, we plan to disseminate informative materials monthly to ensure our campuses remain informed and vigilant about various pertinent topics
