Writing Better Multiple Choice Tests

part of the November 22, 2024 CATL Mini-Conference

Description: Learn how to write and use data to develop effective multiple-choice test questions. In this workshop, we will cover essential principles of test design, including clarity, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives. Through the use of examples, we'll explore common pitfalls and best practices, as well as strategies for creating questions that accurately assess student understanding. We’ll also showcase online tools that can assist you with test design.  Instructors are encouraged to bring their own tests to revise/revamp.
