Campus Climate Research Survey

UWL Campus Climate Survey: Spring 2025

The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse (UWL) is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for all members of our community. As part of this ongoing effort, the Campus Climate Survey will launch in Spring 2025, providing students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to share their perspectives and lived experiences.

This survey is a critical step in understanding the realities of campus life and shaping meaningful change. Building on insights from the 2021 Diverse Learning Environments (DLE) survey and additional focus groups, we aim to define UWL’s institutional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

The Campus Climate Survey is led by the UWL Campus Climate Team, a dedicated group of campus representatives from diverse departments and roles, including faculty, staff, and students. This initiative is guided by a commitment to transparency and collaboration, ensuring every voice is heard and valued.

Why Participate?

  • Share your unique experiences and insights.
  • Help identify opportunities for growth and areas where UWL excels.
  • Contribute to data-driven recommendations and initiatives that will strengthen our campus climate.

Our Progress So Far:
Since Fall 2022, the Campus Climate Research Committee has analyzed survey data and focus group findings to uncover valuable recommendations. Key highlights include storytelling projects from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students, executive summaries, and quotes that shed light on areas of success and opportunities for improvement. These findings are available for review through video recordings, summary documents, and more.

Your input in the Spring 2025 survey will build on this foundation as we continue working toward a campus climate that reflects our shared values of inclusivity and respect.

Stay tuned for more information on survey dates, participation details, and how you can help make UWL a more welcoming and supportive place for everyone.
