Ice Fishing Outing

You are invited to join IEE, University  Police, UWL Fishing Club, Chartwells and others for a fun day of ice fishing and fish fry! Ice Fishing is a unique winter activity in Wisconsin, and we would like to take you! All UWL students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join!

To participate in this event, individuals MUST sign up using the link above so we can properly plan for those attending the event.

Then participants are required to obtain a WI DNR Customer ID Number by creating a GoWild account - https://gowild.wi.gov/. Once you successfully create your online GoWild account, international students/scholars will be required to purchase a WI Non-Resident One-Day Fishing License and U.S. domestic individuals will purchase a WI Non-resident OR WI Resident One-Day Fishing License depending on an individual's status.

There will be a warming tent to pop into when you get cold and a traditional fish fry for lunch. Attendees will want to dress in layers wearing appropriate winter clothing to keep warm and waterproof boots are recommended as it can get slushy out.

Last chance to sign up before 1/30/2025 and then sign up will close so we can plan for transportation. We hope you consider joining us for this fun event!
