Great Idea for Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.), March 7 Mini-Conference

CATL knows there are great things being done across campus to teach students! We invite you to apply to showcase your work at the upcoming CATL mini-conference. We're using the G.I.F.T.S. (Great Ideas for Teaching Students) format. Presenters share a specific class activity or lesson and provide some sort of handout for attendees to reference; CATL created a template that you'd be asked to use for the session handout. If you would like to see some sample ?GIFTS shared at the other CATL Mini-Conferences, drop us an email (catl@uwlax.edu).

Use this application to tell us about your G.I.F.T.S. We'll select 4 instructors to share their G.I.F.T.S. at the mini-conference on March 7, 2025 from 12:00-1:00pm. Apply before noon on Tuesday, February 18 and we'll let you know if you are selected shortly after this deadline. 

If you are selected and say yes, you’ll be asked to (1) briefly share about your project (~10 minutes) at the session, (2) create a handout based on the provided template for attendees who may be inspired to adopt your project in their own course, and (3) participate in Q&A around G.I.F.T.S.

Complete this short application before noon on February 18, 2025.
