Capitalism Through Multiple Lenses

A roundtable discussion

We are pleased to invite you to an interdisciplinary roundtable discussion, Capitalism Through Multiple Lenses, which we have organized to foster critical dialogue on the far-reaching effects of capitalism beyond the realm of business and economics. This event will bring together faculty from sociology, economics, religious studies, and educational studies from UWL and Viterbo to examine capitalism from diverse disciplinary perspectives.

Rather than a series of lectures, this discussion-based event will provide a platform for panelists to briefly present how their respective disciplines approach capitalism, followed by an open Q&A session with the audience.

We encourage you to attend and participate, and most importantly, invite our students and other professors, in what promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking conversation. Again, please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues and students who may be interested.

Panelists:

  • Professor Michael Haupert, Economics, UWL
  • Professor Peter Marina, Sociology, UWL
  • Professor Sean Martin, Religious Studies, Viterbo University
  • Professor Jennifer Pierce, Educational Studies
  • Fr. C. Michael Weldon, Assistant Chaplain, Viterbo University
