ACCESS Center New Student Registration Instructions
- Starting on the ACCESS Center Welcome page, click the blue button that says “ACCESS Connect – New Student Registration”
- Log in using your UWL email and password
- Select the “Start New Application” button to begin your application. You can save your progress and return to the application at any time.
- Fill out the "Overview” page and select “Create Application Draft”
- Respond to the questions. If you have documentation you’d like to submit, choose “Save and Upload Documentation.” If not, skip to step 7.
- On the Files page, upload any documentation you have by selecting “Choose File” or dragging and dropping the file to that box. Give the file a name and then click “Upload File.” Repeat until all your files are uploaded, then proceed to step 7.
- Select “Proceed to Final Review”
- Select “Submit Application.”
Meet with your advisor
Students must complete an intake appointment with their advisor to discuss the accommodation process. After receiving confirmation that your registration has been processed and you have been assigned an advisor, please call 608.785.6900 or email your advisor directly to schedule a time that is convenient for you.
Meet with your Instructors
- After you have requested accommodations and instructors have been notified, it is important to meet with your instructors to discuss your accommodations in their class.
- If you have testing accommodations, this is a good time to fill out the Testing Contract online, which is required in order to schedule any exams for your class. A separate testing contract is required for each class that you plan to use testing accommodations in.
