The La Crosse Exercise and Health Program, in affiliation with Gundersen Health System and Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare, is proud to announce its 44th year of providing continuing education workshops. This year we are once again partnering with the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) to help provide marketing support for our workshop.
This year we will be offering one cardiac rehabilitation workshop. The last workshop was a huge success and the workshop filled very quickly. I would encourage you to register early, as the workshop is limited to the first 60 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Over the years our Comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation workshop has been very popular and is considered essential training for anyone who is new to the field or who may be setting up a new program. The workshop covers the latest information regarding program design, administration, exercise programming, and patient support services. The most important factor that makes our workshop so popular is the quality of our faculty. All of our speakers are actively working in the field. Additionally, every one of the speakers is involved at the state or national level in their professional organizations, most of the time in leadership positions. More importantly, they are eager and willing to share their expertise with you. Here is what some past attendees had to say:
“Speakers were great, good energy. Student participation was a great highlight. I now feel I have a stronger understanding of cardiac rehab programs and goals. Nice to hear how cardiac rehab classes can be so individualized and ideas to make it more fun.” – Patricia Gazaille, RN
“Topics were great – keep on finding speakers that are enthusiastic about their profession! [The evening activities] were both positive…Nice to have something to do in the evening…The week was awesome and exhausting at the same time. But that’s what made it worthwhile!” – Lynette Lovdahl, RN, BSN
"The facility and staff were wonderful. All speakers had positive attitudes and were passionate about the field. Everyone should attend this workshop before setting up or working in a program." - Tami Ruhl, RRT
"The highlight of the workshop was the La Crosse faculty. Highly educated - down to earth people (a rare combination)." - Shelley Chaney, RN
"It was a privilege to learn from "the best." It was very beneficial and inspirational in every aspect." - Carolyn Rake, RN
"The entire staff is pro-learning, pro-teaching, and pro-students. Thanks for all your efforts." - Beth Ann Johnsey, PT
"The highlight of the workshop was the comprehensive knowledge imparted on specific cardiac rehabilitation problems. You learn what works and what doesn't. Great. Tremendous. Wonderful program." - Mary Hanrahan, RN
"Lots of great information. Received sample tools and forms that I can use right now." - Whitney Wilkenson, RRT
"Excellent workshop and host site. Worth every penny!!" - Jamie Legan Leon, RN
