Affirmative Action Program
UWL's Affirmative Action Program provides:
- Statistics on current employees across all departments and job categories at UWL, broken down along lines of race/ethnicity and gender.
- Comparisons to the proportions of women and racial/ethnic minorities that are available and qualified in each job category.
We collect this data on an annual basis as required by law, and we publish it to enable the campus community to assess our diversification efforts and foster dialogue about further ways to enhance those efforts.
UWL's affirmative action hiring practices aim to recruit a diverse pool of applicants for each job opening and to remove all forms of bias (intentional and unintentional) from the recruitment and evaluation of those applicants, so that no individual receives any advantage or disadvantage based on protected status. Our goal is to ensure equal employment opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, ancestry, disability, veteran status, national origin, sexual orientation, or other protected status.
UWL's official Affirmative Action summary will be available on August 1st each year, for the most recent year (previous year data only).
