We are so excited to announce our fourth annual Eagle Fest -  an event full of live music, entertainment, food, and fun! Join us on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Badger Street, Student Union Lawn, Eagle Field, and Drake Field.

"Wings of the Year" Design Contest

Calling all student artists and designers!

We are hosting a design contest for our Eagle Fest "Wings of the Year." Enrolled students may submit a design by March 29, 2025. Last year's wings are displayed for your reference.

The winner will win a $100 gift card to the University Bookstore. The winning design will be placed on event promotional materials, signage, and possibly even merchandise!

"I created this design for the new students at Eagle Fest who have yet to explore the beauty of La Crosse. I envisioned my favorite scenery of La Crosse, which is the riverside at sunset. It reminds us that we don’t have to climb high to see the beauty of the city, the beauty comes from moments with whom we surround ourselves with in the city itself. This design is meant to inspire new students to find their spots that remind them of the beauty of being a student at UWL, and the possibilities that follow each sunset." - Julia Davis, 2024 Wings of the Year Winner

The winner relinquishes ownership of the artwork to UWL and/or UWL has the authority to utilize the image in perpetuity

Guidelines:

  • Have fun and be creative!
  • MUST BE EAGLE WINGS. Use of this template is not required, but can be used as an outline or reference.
  • Indicate what color shirt the design is intended to be printed on. 
  • Use of UWL logos are optional; logos cannot be edited. UWL will not approve the use of its trademarks in conjunction with: 
    • Tobacco and tobacco-related products 
    • Gambling and gambling-related products 
    • Illegal drug products 
    • Alcohol and Alcohol-related products 
    • Inherently dangerous products, including weapons, firearms, explosives, or fuel 
    • Sexually suggestive products 
    • Racist, sexist, hateful, demeaning, or degrading language or sentiments 
    • Profanity 
    • Statements impugning other universities 
    • Products that present an unacceptable risk of liability or are harmful to the mission or integrity of the institution 
    • Another entity’s registered trademark, unless explicit written permission has been granted from that entity 
  • Designs must be original artwork for the front of a t-shirt, suitable for adults and children.  
  • Competition is open to currently enrolled UWL students.
