Students can view their financial aid offer in Wings. Students will have the option to accept or decline elements of their aid offer. Please view the guide to accepting/declining your financial aid offer for more information.

In most cases, a refund is generated if excess financial aid or payments are applied towards a student's bill. Read more about refund options here

In order to be eligible for financial aid, students must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements. Please note that general SAP requirements, such as the GPA minimum, may differ from program/degree-specific requirements. Learn more about Satisfactory Academic Progress

UWL students are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Therefore, students' educational records, including financial aid information, cannot be disclosed without permission from the student. Learn more about FERPA

When will my aid disburse?

If all necessary paperwork has been completed, the first day financial aid funds are disbursed is the first day of classes each semesterAll funds will be electronically credited to the student's University bill. Please note that some funds, including Funds for Wisconsin Scholars (FFWS), Lawton, and Wisconsin Tuition Promise, are not disbursed until after the 10th day of classes in order to confirm student enrollment or for third party processing.

For the 2024-25 academic year, the first day of the fall semester is September 3, 2024 and the first day of the spring semester is January 27, 2025. For the 2025-26 academic year, the first day of the fall semester is September 2, 2025 and the first day of the spring semester is January 26, 2026.
