Tackling the graduate school application process can be challenging. We are here to help! This page provides some important hints to assist you as you work through this step.

Graduate school application process

  • Before you apply, visit your program's APPLICATION PROCESS webpage for information including:
    • Application requirements specific to your program
    • Details and hints for successful completion of application process
    • Deadline information
  • Things to consider
    • The application process takes time
      • Allow at least 2 weeks to complete the process 
    • Applicants to programs with recommendation letter requirements may experience longer time to completion. To ensure this process goes smoothly:
      • Start early, give yourself time 
      • Communicate with your references
        • Alert references to to watch for emailed recommendation request (check all email folders i.e., inbox, junk, spam)
        • Provide deadline info
