The 2024 W-2 Forms (Wage and Tax Statements) are now available online for all active Universities of Wisconsin employees.
To access, sign into my.wisconsin.edu (UW-Madison can also use my.wisc.edu). Instructions on how to view/print can be found by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of the page and selecting Help.
Paper copies will be postmarked by January 31, 2025, and sent via U.S. mail to employees who did not consent to electronic only Form W-2 distribution.
Access to electronic documents ends if you terminate employment. Please remember to print any documents needed prior to departure.
Filing Taxes
Employees should use their W-2, not their final 2024 earnings statement, to file taxes.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will begin accepting and processing 2024 tax year returns near the end of January 2025. Employees may want to file their return as soon as all tax forms are received to minimize the chance of a fraudulent return being processed using their Social Security number, or Individual Taxpayer Identification number.
