Updated information regarding the Mandatory Training Policy from UW system
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, we want to remind everyone about the importance of completing your mandatory training. This training is essential for ensuring that we all adhere to state and federal laws, and UW System Administrative policies.
- All trainings assigned to your position should be completed with in 30 days of your date date/access to your MyUW Portal, and at intervals listed below thereafter.
- Information Security Awareness- Completed annually
- Mandated Reporter- Required once upon hire
- Preventing Sexual Harassment and Violence- Required every three years
- FERPA Training- Required every three years
Key Updates:
- FERPA Training: Previously a one-time training for employees with access to student records, it is now required for all employees every three years. This change acknowledges that nearly all employees have access to information that could be considered student records under FERPA.
Please keep in mind to be eligible for pay plan increases, you must complete all mandatory training by specified deadlines. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for pay plan increases.
