- Learn about the documents you may need to fill out the FAFSA form.
- Determine your dependency status and whether your parent(s) or spouse will be required to contribute information on your FAFSA form.
- If you’re a dependent student, use the Who’s My FAFSA Parent? wizard to identify which parent(s) will be a required contributor on your form.
Stay Informed
Stay informed about 2025–26 FAFSA changes and receive up-to-date notifications and information:
- Follow Federal Student Aid on social media for resources and announcements.

I completed my FAFSA, does UWL have it?
Once your FAFSA is processed, you'll get your FAFSA submission summary. You will also be able to see this status on your studentaid.gov dashboard. Full processing has been achieved by Federal Student Aid (for initial transactions), so within a few business days UWL should get your FAFSA. Once we have your FAFSA you will get an e-mail. Watch your to-do list in WINGS and your e-mail for any additional information on documents we may need or notification that your aid offer is ready.
