Search@UW changes will affect a number of library resources and services.
Mid-to-late spring 2015: The process to request materials from other libraries will change. Universal Borrowing will become integrated into Interlibrary Loan and will no longer exist as a separate service. Most users will probably not notice much change from the current Search@UW method for requesting items from other libraries except that there will now only be one request form.
Mid-to-late spring 2015: This begins a large-scale, back-end conversion of data. This should not affect most library users because a static, preserved version of the system will remain up and running. During this time, requests that are submitted to purchase new library materials will be processed after the conversion is complete. Also, the online catalog listings for course reserves will not be available.
Mid-to-late spring 2015: "Live" circulation functions will be turned off. People can still check out and return materials, but online features such as "My Account" and online renewals will not be available.
Mid-to-late spring 2015 Implementation will be complete. Users will notice some changes in the Search@UW interface, such as new ways to modify and focus searches. The Journal Search tool will also look different along with the related Find It! service. The library will offer a variety of training opportunities including walk-in sessions, individual meetings, and online materials.
