Have you considered using Murphy Library Digital Collections for your coursework? The Digital Collections offers free access to thousands of locally- and historically-significant materials ranging from text and image based content to audio recordings.
Below is just a sample of what is available in the Digital Collections:
- Historical photographs, including images of the 15,000 Cuban refugees that came to Fort McCoy in the 1980s’ era Freedom Flotilla and the Burgess Photograph Collection of images taken for the La Crosse Tribune from 1935 to 1970.
- The Fred Lesher Collection of more than 3,000 pages of Coulee Region ornithological field notes and journals.
- Records of local significance including La Crosse City Board of Trade Reports, La Crosse County Historical Sketches.
- Historical newspapers, including the LGBT newsletter “Leaping La Crosse,” and “The Wisconsin Labor Advocate.”
