Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center brings together pro and con viewpoint articles from the Greenhaven Press book series, reference articles that provide context, 140 full-text magazines, academic journals, and newspapers, primary source documents, government and organizational statistics, multimedia, including images and podcasts, links to hand-selected web sites, and more. Content includes more than 140 full-text magazines, academic journals and newspapers (nearly 2.2 million articles); 9,100+ pro and con viewpoint articles, nearly 5,000 topic overviews; 300+ primary source documents; 300+ biographies of social activists and reformers; 775+ court-case overviews; 334 profiles of federal agencies and special interest groups; nearly 6,000 statistical tables, charts and graphs; 1,800+ images; and a link to Google Image Search. In addition, it has more than 2,300 links to reviewed and subject-indexed Web sites as well as thousands of Pod-casts, including weekly presidential addresses and premier NPR programs, Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary, and research tools that tie information literacy skills to use of the database.
