Connecting to the library's electronic resources from off campus
Students, faculty, staff, and emeriti can access Murphy Library's electronic databases, books, and journals from anywhere in the world. When you attempt to access online content, you will be prompted to log in with a user name and password.
- For current students, faculty, and staff, the login credentials you should use are your UWL NetID and password. These are the same credentials you use to log in to Canvas.
- Students: Most student NetID user names follow this format: first 8 letters of your last name followed by a dot (.) followed by the first 4 letters of your first name. Example: lastname.firs.
- Faculty: Most faculty and staff NetID user names follow this format: first name initial followed by the last name. Example: Flastname.
- Emeriti: In the username box, enter your NetID. Example: Flastname or lastname.firstname. In the password box, enter your two digit birth month, two digit birth day@UWL. Example: 0929@uwl
