MVAC staff presented at the 11th annual “Local History & Historic Preservation Conference” (Wisconsin Historical Society and Wisconsin Council for Local History) held in La Crosse, WI on October 20-21, 2017. Vicki Twinde-Javner presented “Historic Archaeology and Historic Artifact Identification” Kathy Stevenson and Wendy Holtz-Leith presented “Under City Streets: Case Studies in Urban Archaeology” Kathy Stevenson, Jean Dowiasch, and Wendy Holtz-Leith conducted a workshop “What Is This? Basic Identification of Pre-Contact Artifacts”
