Historic toys Gender and/or age of the occupants of a particular household can often be identified by specific artifacts found on historic sites. Tools and such are often easily identified with male occupants. The artifacts in this photos were found on a mid to late 19th century site in Crawford County. The statue to the left would likely have belonged to a female occupant of the house, while the partial doll body, doll’s head, and toy tea cups show children were present.
