Serrated Point
This small Madison Triangular point with serrated edges is made of silicified sandstone. It is only 18.4 mm (less than 3/4 inch) long, 16.7 mm long, and 4.8 mm thick, and weighs 1.4 grams (1/20 of an ounce). Triangular points like this are true arrow tips, used by both Late Woodland and Oneota cultures in the region. This one was found during a survey in Rusk County, Wisconsin.
