Criss Cross Cave

Criss Cross Cave historic graffiti Pictured are three examples of historic graffiti from Criss Cross Cave in Juneau County, Wisconsin.  Some of the historic names and dates suggest visits by Euro-Americans as early as 1800. A number of names were carved in the mid 1850’s, when Euro-American settlement of Juneau County began in earnest. Others date to the Civil War era of the 1860’s.
