Mindoro Cut

Mindoro cut The Mindoro Cut, between Mindoro and West Salem in La Crosse County, is the second deepest cut made by hand in the Western Hemisphere and the oldest functional cut that has not been improved. Work on the cut began in 1907 and was completed in 1908. This site is listed on National Register of Historic Places.
