It was a year packed with memorable moments inside and outside the classroom. Take a look at some of our favorite photos from 2024 at UWL.

UWL biology students teach children at Red Balloon Early Learning Center about bugs. The children learned about insect biology, created their own bugs from Play-Doh and even had the chance to pet a hissing cockroach.

James Beeby became the 11th leader in UWL history when he assumed the role of chancellor July 1.
Students from the UWL Foundry Club pour hot metal into green sand molds consisting of sand, bentonite and a small amount of water. The green sand is compacted around an object the artist wishes to cast. Once the object is removed, its negative 3D impression is left behind.
This fall's TEDx event at UWL explored the theme, "The Story I Tell Myself." Speakers included, from left to right: Andrew Ives, director of the UWL ACCESS Center; Carolyn Colleen Bostrack, author and UWL alumna; and Sona Kazemi, assistant professor of race, gender and sexuality studies at UWL.

Students, staff, and faculty gather for the kick-off of One Day for UWL in October. The event raised nearly $530,000 for UWL students — a One Day for UWL record.
