The 23rd annual UWL 5K Turkey Trot run and walk is planned for Saturday, Nov. 18

The trot includes a costume contest, coloring contest and Junior Gobbler races that feature a dash and half mile race for younger trotters. Race time is 9 a.m. for the 5K at the Recreational Eagle Center, and 10:45 a.m. for the Junior Gobbler races at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Awards are given in the 5k race to the top overall male and female finishers, the top three finishers in each age group, and the top five participants who finish closest to their predicted finish time. Registration for the 5K is $30 with a T-shirt and $15 without a T-shirt. Registration for the Junior Gobbler is $20 with a T-shirt and $5 without a T-shirt. Those registering Friday, Nov. 17, or on the race day, Nov. 18, for the 5K race will pay an additional $5. To register or for more information, see https://www.uwlax.edu/event/turkey-trot/
