Read more about Advocating for education and opportunity Trent Rasmussen was a seventh grade social studies teacher in the DeForest Area School District when he returned to earn his Educational Leadership Certificate (5051 licensure) and Director of Instruction (5010 licensure) from UWL’s Professional Studies in Education program. Post graduation he is stepping into a leadership role, joining CESA 11 where he will help build quality instruction across 39 school districts in Wisconsin.

As a Gilman Scholar, Stanley spent four months in classes at Universidad Veritas in San José, Costa Rica. Now back in the U.S., she’ll begin an internship using her language skills.

Read more about Connecting in Costa Rica Hannah Brandner was the recipient of the student opportunity to attend the International Death, Grief and Bereavement conference June 3-5. Brandner says the conference gave her ideas of ways to approach hospice and death and dying in an interdisciplinary manner as she prepares for a future career as a physician working with an aging population.
