Read more about Upcoming events, photos Faye Ellis, ’01 and ’05, joined UWL’s Biology Department as a lecturer 14 years ago. Ellis not only inspires students through volunteer work outside the classroom, she has also been recognized for the work she does inside the class. Ellis received UWL’s Eagle Teaching Excellence Award in 2017, an award that originates with student nominations. She has also been recognized for her contributions to the community with the YWCA Tribute to Outstanding Women in 2012.
