Greenfield traveled across the U.S. on his bike living off food from grocery store dumpsters. He aimed to draw attention to America’s food waste problem. Read more about New digital collection available The U’s interior and exterior design is inspired by UWL’s natural surroundings. The building’s edifice emulates the sandstone bluff to the university’s east — Grandad Bluff. The main floor mimics the convergence of the three rivers in La Crosse with three main entrances converging upon an information desk and central gathering place.
