Last year the UW-La Crosse Alumni Pompons joined the UW-L Alumni band for the first time ever in the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade. This year the tradition continues. The Maple Leaf Parade will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Rehearsals for both the alumni band and alumni pompons are Friday, Sept. 23, at separate locations. The alumni pompons are women who performed with the Marching Chiefs or Screaming Eagles bands during college from 1966 to 1996.
